Day 2 - The fun-fun-fun of the autobahn
With the sound of I’ll Never Get a Scrumpy Here by the Wurzels whirling around our minds, Rosemary Ford - Scottish registered - powered her way along the Dutch and German road system some 414 miles to Bamburg. Yes, she finished the day with a squirrel-like squeak (Ger: Fluffenshaft irritantnoizen) but that’s why we are calling this Day Two - it sounds more of an achievement. Getting Rosemary road-trip ready
Buying a 15-year-old car and expecting it to effortlessly cope with the rigours of around 4,500 miles and four middle-aged men made it seem wise to check she was up to it. A check brought up some issues, such as the suspension. I refer you back to the mention of four middle-aged men, now throw in some Eastern European roads and we needed to sort this out.
